A native of Canada, Ms. Debbie holds a B.A. in Social Science from Laurentian University in Ontario, Canada. She obtained her Montessori training at the Toronto Montessori Institute and she has taught at MRGC for 7 years. In 2004 Ms. Debbie began working for the school as the instructional coach assisting the teachers in becoming exemplary Montessori educators. Her work covers intensive role modeling and lessons for teachers, as well as educating parents in the Montessori methodology and philosophy.

Upon completion of the New Mexico state license she received the Excellence in Math award from the College of Santa Fe. She has presented at two national conferences including the American Montessori Society and the National Coalition for Charter Schools. Ms. Debbie says the new Charter school environment is exciting because it is an opportunity to make Montessori Education available to everyone, and to “bring awareness to the public of how well the Montessori model works in education.”
