THE AUCTION IS BACK ON TILL END OF APRIL!
If you had a bid on an item, we hope you rebid on it again.
We have over 200 items total - everything must go! If every family bids on just 2 items, we can do it. Items range from $2.99 - $1499 and lots in between - something for everybody!
Especially for the auction the kids get some great lessons in working on art with art instructor Ophelia Cornet. Maybe some day we can afford an art program at the school again!

How does it work?
Have you ever shopped on ebay? It's just like that. All the donations will be up for bidding for 3-7 days at a time, a few of the high value items may go 10 days. We try to have bidding cycles end on the weekend when there may be more time to shop. We will add new items throughout our online auction (March 6 - April 6), so it will be worth to check back often for good deals.
Since we are a non-profit ebay credits all fees back to us, 100% will go to our school (minus small paypal or credit card fees).
If you have never shopped on ebay, you can read their FAQs or connect with friends who have. It's free to bid on anything, you just have to create a user account.
For local purchases we will have the option of local pick-up instead of shipping for winning bidders, but a credit card will be required to hold the item. We will probably have a pick-up day at the school to be posted here. Pick up can also be arranged by appointment.
The Friends of Montessori Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raise funds to support the mission and vision of Montessori of the Rio Grande Charter School to be a model public Montessori School.
Friends of Montessori are very excited APS finally bought the school property and vacant land. Now we can move forward and see the renderings come to life which would give generations of kids to come a great learning eco-friendly environment. The bond election in February is supposed to fund new buildings for MRGC and the school should receive $3 million. The foundation will still have to raise money to help support programs and step in with maintenance issues.
The Foundation can focus its efforts more now on supporting valuable school programs such as the PE and music that were saved thanks to last year's Mini Cooper Raffle.
